A strategy consultancy for hire.

Baxigon is an independent advisory practice based in Barcelona. Most of our clients are companies in electrical power — manufacturers, developers, integrators, investors — and we work with their boards, founders and leadership teams. Strategy and direction is the bulk of it; hands-on electrical engineering when the strategy needs to land.

What kind of consulting do you actually do?

Strategy, direction and growth for companies in electrical power — manufacturers, developers, integrators and investors across UPS, EV, solar, storage and data centers. Most engagements are at the board, CEO or founder level: corporate strategy, market entry, sales, investments. We also do hands-on electrical engineering when a project needs it, but the bulk of the work is advisory.

Who is Xavier Bassols?

The founder of Baxigon. Earlier in his career he served as global director at major UPS manufacturers, with senior leadership roles across sales, operations and strategy on multiple continents. Three decades inside the industry he now advises from the outside.

Are you a strategy firm or an engineering firm?

Primarily a strategy and direction practice — corporate strategy, growth, sales, investments and leadership. We have deep electrical engineering capability and use it when strategy needs to land in real designs, but most engagements stay at the executive level.

Do you take vendor commissions or kickbacks?

No. No commissions, no preferred brands, no broker fees and no exclusivity. We sit on the client's side of the table. This is one of the main reasons clients hire us.

Do you only work in Spain?

No. Most clients are in Europe, but we have advised companies and projects in over thirty countries. Working languages: Catalan, Spanish, English and French.

How does an engagement start?

With a short call. We listen, ask the awkward questions, and tell you whether we can help. If yes, we send a one-page scope and a fixed fee. The first call is free.
